Hiya, back now from summer school & moving my daughter to her new house. Its roasting here, I have just been into the loft to get the fan & now I know where all my sons stuff is...... It was an oven up there & nope did not find the fan, returned to puter to be bounced off so have to start this over again...bet you all know THAT feeling. Guess AOL is hot too, rofl.
Here is an image of the studio I have been working in with some of the lovely very hard working ladies I have been teaching. They worked so very hard and very nearly all completed 3 bags in 3 days. Given the heat, the new venue & a mess up with the ironing.......they produced beautiful work. These bags have been designed by me & there will be patterns available soon (as soon as I get them pattern tested that is)
These are 2 bags that I finished today (early this morning whilst it was cool) from my patterns
This is...Really Useful Bag & has pockets all around the outside & 2 inside & a zipper top
This is Funky bag, & is a wacky shape with funky embellishments.
Most of the students chose to have kits & these are not the kits, they are the sample pieces made in different stages to demonstrate with. So next time I do these workshops (Oct & Nov) I will have to start again...oh shame....
Finally tonight asI wither away (oh get over it Shelagh) here is a detail of a book cover to be sold in my ETSY shop. It is freeform machining on cotton with wool tops & variegated cotton thread, it is very textured & has been stitched with crazy freeform stitching using number 8 utility stitch on my Bernina 170QE
See you tomorrow
I love your bags Shelagh and the lovely free motion embroidery tutorial! Very useful.
ReplyDeleteI am helping 2 sons move to new homes this week so I can relate to that---I love the examples you posted-they look great and are really stellar. I saw your link on our yahoo group (ME/MF)
